Two men sat on a bench at a crowded square.
one spoke constantly the other wouldn't dare.
the stories, promises, explanations ran wild.
while the other just listened and observed like a child.
he said nothing and as the silence stretched.
the talking man grew uneasy uncontrollable sweat.
he laughed loud, at his own jokes.
explained what wasn't needed.
defended what was never accused.
credibility depleted.
while he battled himself distorting the truth.
the quiet man only watched recorded the proof.
Eventually the words stopped trying to impress.
and started trying to protect.
and salvage what was left,
of respect.
The truth slipped-out in contradiction.
this is how you strip the veil off the opposition.
Silence is not empty.
its a mirror,
its a blessin'.
The quiet man stood and walked away,
without asking a single question.
The Silent Veil.
Escovar.
